Fixed bounds declared before launch, so a running system cannot wander into noise.
A deterministic system left unbounded will eventually produce something unlistenable. Listenability bounds are the creator's commitment, fixed before launch and hashed into the record as listenabilityHash, that the output stays inside a stated envelope.
- Scale and root
- The pitch set the mapping is allowed to use.
- Tempo range
- The minimum and maximum rate of event generation.
- Maximum simultaneous voices
- A hard ceiling on density.
- Attack and release
- The envelope applied to every voice.
- Quantization
- Whether events are snapped to the declared grid.
Defaults and overrides
Each model class carries safe defaults. A creator may override them, but any frequency launched without quantization carries a permanent [experimental, unquantized] tag that follows it everywhere on the site. The tag is not a warning about quality; it states that the output is not constrained to a grid.
