The procedure that lets anyone check a frequency without trusting Pitch.
Nothing here requires a token, an account, or Pitch's cooperation.
- Read
specHashfrom the escrow registry, fetch the specification it addresses, and check that its keccak-256 matches. - Fetch f from the stated commit and confirm the commit hash matches the record.
- Apply f from s₀ through the latest checkpoint, tick by tick, on your own machine.
- Compare your recomputed chain head to the H_t recorded by the last
tick. They match, or the record is wrong.
Screamed frequencies add one check: download the file at voice.audioUrl and compute its SHA-256. It must equal voice.audioSha256, which is inside the document specHash covers. The frequency page does this in your browser and refuses to play a file that does not match. Generative frequencies have no audio file to check: their sound is computed from the seed.
The hash chain
H_0 = SHA-256( σ || serialise(s_0) ) H_t = SHA-256( H_(t−1) || serialise(s_t) || τ_t )
σ is encoded as a u64, big-endian. serialise(s) writes a header (format version, class id, variant, tick) and then the model's fields in a declared order: integers unsigned big-endian, floats IEEE-754 float64 big-endian. τ_t defaults to the tick index as a u64, big-endian. Because each H_t commits to every prior state and trigger, reproducing one H_t verifies the whole run up to it.
How a launch is verified
- The launch transaction emits the token, the pool id, the creator and the first buy, and registers
specHash,provenanceHashandlistenabilityHashwith c, c_k, h and the tick interval. - None of those values has a setter, so what you read today is what was launched.
- The token's supply is fixed at 1e9 and both pool positions belong to the launchpad, which cannot decrease them.
- Every tick emits its keeper, tick number, H_t and the escrow balance after payment.
Why it is worth doing
The point of determinism is that disagreement is resolvable. If a published checkpoint does not match an honest replay, that is a fact anyone can demonstrate, not an opinion to be argued about.
